We have been diligently working behind the scenes to modify our curriculum and current operating procedures to ensure a safe return. You will see our coaches making adjustments to our regular routine to continue to keep safety our top priority. Additionally, all coaches will complete a mandatory health and safety course before returning to coaching.

During our sessions your coach will:

• Avoid high-fives, fist bumps and unnecessary physical contact
• Wear a mask
• Use rings, spots or orange cones as “home base” to keep children spread out when possible
• Request that equipment be cleaned up and put away only by the coach
• Continue to remind children the importance of keeping safe distances when practicing skills, by mentioning to “keep space so you don’t bump into your friends”
• Avoid the use of pinnies
• Use a modified Soccer Shots cheer at the end of the session

Additionally, coaches will be sanitizing all equipment before and after each session and monitoring their temperatures daily. We will do our best to use smaller group sizes and/or larger field setups to allow for the distancing of participants and observers.

We are requesting that families attending in-person sessions follow these guidelines for the health and safety of other families and coaches:

• Wash or sanitize hands before entering Soccer Island (we recommend singing the Soccer Shots song while doing so – ask your children if you need help with the words!). Sanitizer will be available at every session.
• Please review and remind your child the general cough and sneezing etiquette: Please ask your child to cover his/her mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when they cough or sneeze. Follow with washing or sanitizing your hands. Dispose of tissues in a sealed trash can. Avoid spitting and coughing.
• Face coverings. Please follow current PHMDC guidelines.
• Please maintain Six (6) feet physical distancing when around individuals not from the same household.
• Stay home when you are sick and keep your children home for soccer if they are sick (we'll miss them on Soccer Island, but we want everyone safe and healthy). Monitor temperature, an individual with an elevated body temperature above 100.4 degrees or any other COVID-19 signs/symptoms should please stay home.

If attending a Mini session (ages 2-3), only one family member per child is permitted on Soccer Island.
